Opera and Ballet Theater named after. A. Spendiarova
The theater was built in 1940 according to the design of the famous Armenian architect Alexander Tamanyan. In 1935, the project and layout of the building were awarded the Grand Prix at the World Architectural Exhibition in Paris, and today this majestic structure is rightfully one of the main attractions of Yerevan, its calling card. The building, unique in its beauty, can accommodate up to 1,260 opera and ballet lovers. Various productions based on works by both domestic and foreign classics are performed here.
