Cascade

The cascade is a grandiose architectural composition that embodies ideas and was created according to the design of A. Tamanyan during the construction of Northern Avenue. The architectural ensemble harmoniously combines with a small park located between Moskovyan Street and Mashtots and Baghramyan Avenues. The cascade is a system of stepped passages, fountains and flower beds across the slopes of the Kanaker Hills, connecting the central part of the city with its northern region. Using stairs and escalators you can climb to the central observation deck of Yerevan. The absolute vertical height difference from the first step of the first escalator to the last step of the last is 100 m. The length of the entire structure is 500 m with a width of 50 m.
